Conservation Commission Clears Titleist Facility Driveway Repaving With Negative Determination

ACUSHNET — October 2, 2025 — Acushnet Conservation Commission unanimously approved a negative determination for a driveway and turf project at the Titleist testing facility on Manchester Lane. William F. Madden of GAF Engineering presented the Request for Determination of Applicability on behalf of Acushnet Company for work at 115 Manchester Lane, covering repaving of a 14-foot-wide, approximately 1,050-foot access road within the 100-foot buffer zone to a Bordering Vegetated Wetland, installation of a speed table near the facility's guard shack, resodding of a test fairway drainage problem area, and upgrades to a 2,100-square-foot tee box. One commission member recused himself before the presentation. The negative determination allows the company to proceed without a full Order of Conditions under Chapter 131, Section 40 of the Massachusetts General Laws. The commission also announced temporary reduced public office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays for approximately two weeks to help staff meet filing deadlines.
