ACUSHNET — The Acushnet Conservation Commission approved a Notice of Intent for a new Hathaway Road home and signed off on a minor Eversource line revision. Engineer Davignon of Schneider, Davignon & Leone told the panel a new perc test came back at 134 minutes, requiring a denitrification septic system, and that construction would cut the site's "degraded area" of 66,154 square feet by about 41 percent. Acting Chairman Christian De Sousa closed the hearing after both votes passed unanimously.

Eversource's James Clancy won approval to swap timber matting for a gravel-road widening on Line 114 after a private-way rights dispute. Separately, an engineer identified only as Jamie asked the commission to waive a stormwater rule barring infiltration basins in poor-draining "group D" soil for a three-lot Lambert Street and Lawton Street project; commissioners declined to decide, saying, "I'm not in favor of waiving the requirement," and continued the item to November 18 pending test pits and peer review.
