Acushnet Select Board Defers Breakfast Spot License, Awaits Floor Plan

ACUSHNET — November 26, 2025 — Acushnet Select Board defers a common victualer license for a local breakfast and lunch spot. The board held its pre-Thanksgiving session on November 26, taking no formal votes beyond adjournment after a member moved to place a hold on the license issuance for a small food establishment whose owner had not yet submitted a floor plan compliant with town bylaws. The applicant agreed to deliver a revised plan to the town within a week, at which point the board indicated it would take up the matter again. One member called the owner "a great guy" running "a great small business" and said he looked forward to approving updated plans in the near future. The brief meeting closed with holiday travel safety wishes to residents before a unanimous vote to adjourn.
