Acushnet Select Board accepts two resignations, moves to closed session on vacancies
ACUSHNET -- November 8, 2025, Acushnet Select Board accepts two resignations and enters executive session on town vacancies. The board voted unanimously at its November 8 meeting to accept the departures of custodian Brady Baldwin and executive administrative assistant Sidney Vivares, both described as leaving for stronger career opportunities. The chair noted the town is actively working to address a broader set of open positions, citing Conservation Agent Julia Gonzalez as already in the field and a New Bedford assistant named Chance as also helping cover duties. The board then voted 3-0 on each of two separate roll-call votes to enter executive sessions under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30A, one addressing non-union personnel negotiations and one addressing collective bargaining strategy, with no return to public session. The loss of the executive administrative assistant marks one of the more consequential vacancies in town administration.
