At the March 11 meeting, the commission continued a hearing on a proposed 5,000-square-foot commercial storage building at Zero Middle Road by applicant Cristiano Meet in the Middle, LLC, represented by Chris Vandenberg of Site Tech Engineering Environmental Consultants, after members raised concerns about equipment storage within roughly 35 feet of the wetland no-touch zone; a site visit is set for March 21. A second hearing on the 12-unit Middle Road Meadows over-55 development at 72 Middle Road, proposed by MD South Coast Properties, LLC and represented by David M. Devinion, was continued to April 8 pending peer review by Merrill Associates. At 35 Hathaway Road, the commission voted to require an after-the-fact Notice of Intent within 30 days, citing inspector Kevin McHugh's finding that completed work "is within the jurisdiction of the WPA and does not fall under the MS4 program," a conclusion DEP independently confirmed.
